Is it possible to change to start and end date of the budgeted month?
Boonzi does not allow altering the start date of the month. Not only due to technical reasons, but also because by doing that the user will be following an inadvisable budget management strategy which is commonly called “living paycheck-to-paycheck.”
Writing guides with money-saving strategies is part of our short-term plans. In these guides we’ll explain why you should not prepare for the following month according to how much you expect to receive, and what are the most correct strategies to be adopted. For this result we believe that the creation of a “buffer” would be an ideal solution.
Boonzi’s budgets already include this strategy – when you are creating or editing a new budget under ‘expenses’ your balance “after expenses” and before income appears.
But this is an issue that we intend to develop later when we complete the next stage of Boonzi.
